Jason accepted the call to pastor Nashville Baptist beginning in mid-March 2007. His wife Amanda gave birth to their second child, Anna Marie, in July. Their first child, Daniel, is one year old. Jason graduated from the University of Kentucky with a major in mathematics and a minor in physics, and he received the master of divinity degree from the Southern Baptist Seminary at Louisville, KY, in 2003.
Brad came to Nashville Baptist in June 2006. He is responsible for all educational ministries, with a strong focus on ministry to the whole family. Brad and his wife Sarah are graduates of East Carolina University. They were married in 2003. Sarah is a fourth grade teacher and is a wonderful support to her husband. Upon graduation from East Carolina, Brad continued his education pursuing his Master of Divinity degree from Gardner-Webb Divinity School. He graduated May 2006.
Richard is a retired Air Force officer who has been involved in church music since his teenage years. He first directed a choir as a volunteer in Garden Grove, CA, and then directed choirs in Washington, DC; Brussels, Belgium; and Raleigh, NC. He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from NC State University, a master's degree in electrical engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and a master of divinity with church music degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Pat, and they have three children and four grandchildren. Richard has been our minister of music since October 2004. Pat enjoys teaching preschool children in TeamKID.
Pam is the first person visitors see during the week. She assists all of the ministers, plus she publishes the weekly newsletter, The ByLine, and prints the worship bulletin. She also maintains the membership data base and posts tithes and offerings. Pam receives all requests for financial assistance that come to the church during the week. She also prepares the songs and announcements for projection on the video system each Sunday. Both Pam and her husband Mike are fully involved in their Bible study class, in assisting with the video projection and sound systems during worship, and in various committees within the church.
Martha Crowell - Church Musician
Martha Crowell has been the church musician at Nashville Baptist since 1996, playing primarily the piano, but also playing the organ from time to time. She accompanies the Chancel Choir during rehearsals and during worship. We are so glad to have Martha and Ken as members of our fellowship.
Clyde Patterson - Church Organist
Clyde joined our music and worship team in December 2008, sharing the organist position with our volunteer organist, Sarah Hinton. He brings a wealth of experience to our worship. Clyde and his wife Dorothy live in Wilson.
Sarah Hinton - Church Organist
Sarah has been our volunteer organist for several years. She and her family have been a part of the fellowship of Nashville Baptist Church for many years, and Sarah has served as a deacon in the past. She gives unselfishly of her time, using the wonderful talent she has in bringing lovely and exciting music to our worship. We are so glad to have Sarah, Jimmie and their children as members of our congregation.
