Nan Strickland Flower Ministry

Nashville Baptist Church (NBC) began a flower ministry in September, 2020, for the purpose of reaching out to their home bound and nursing home members during the pandemic.  The idea was the result of one member learning about a similar ministry on a much larger scale in the Raleigh area. After discussion with a few others, the flower ministry at NBC became a reality.  The team consists of several dedicated ladies who all agree this ministry has been a blessing for everyone involved.  NBC’s home bound and nursing home members love receiving fresh flowers twice each month with a card and devotional activities.  Also, a special sweet treat is provided by team member, Linda Cooper, at each delivery!

In November, 2020, NBC member Mrs. Nan Strickland passed away at the age of 104!  Mrs. Nan was known for providing beautiful flowers from her garden for every special occasion at NBC, including all Wednesday night fellowship meals.  In remembrance of this special lady, the NBC Flower Ministry became the Nan Strickland Flower Ministry.
